X-ray Images to Detect Biofilm Distribution inside Slow Sand Filters

The data shows x-ray images of the samples taken from different slow sand filters in the Netherlands to obtain sand grains structure and biofilm distribution in water filters. The first few centimeters of slow sand filters is covered with biofilm which plays important role in filtration of microorganisms.
