Abstract
Using the murder-mystery game Her Story, this case introduces “in vivo” and “pattern” coding in qualitative data analysis to contemplate their suitability for exploring the topic of sexual harassment in the modern workplace, focusing on news about allegations at Google. While quantitative research can help management researchers understand the extent of workplace grievances, a qualitative approach helps us go beyond the numbers to understand how grievances manifest and how to effectively tackle them. However, studies formed on qualitative research often lack a clear structure.
