Abstract

The present invention relates to a low-lactose dairy-based milk replacer for use in the treatment or prevention of insulin resistance in a bovine subject. The present invention further relates to the use of such a low-lactose dairy-based milk replacer for feeding bovine, in particular calves, such that the development of insulin resistance is prevented.
