Abstract

The article discusses the exact normative and evaluative status of moral distress with reference to the article "A Broader Understanding of Moral Distress" by Stephen M. Campbell, Connie M. Ulrich, and Christine Grady in the same issue. Topics covered include the definition of moral distress within the context of nursing ethics and health care ethics, the need for a broader definition of moral distress and the value or moral worth of moral distress.
