Abstract

Introduction
Little is known about the developmental course of spatial
memory, although this topic would be of clinical and
theoretical relevance. Spatial memory plays a fundamental
role in everyday human activities, like way-finding, localizing
places or grasping objects. The assessment of spatial
memory, that is the pre-requisite of independent mobility
in the environment, is therefore crucial to monitor elderly
people’s well-being.
