Abstract
Urban areas worldwide face increasing flood risks, which will only increase in the future due to urbanisation and the effects of climate change. In scientific literature and in practice, the debate on how to deal with these flood risks is increasingly held in terms of 'governance for more resilience'. One can easily get lost in the different debates. A comprehensive overview of what we know and what we don't know about the topic of flood risk governance for more resilience is urgently needed.
