    Abstract

The topic of this dissertation is the structural characterization of the VPS10 receptors Sortilin and SorCS2, as well as their interactions with proneurotrophins. A multidisciplinary approach is used to better understand how these receptors function, from ligand binding and release to receptor recycling and signal transduction.
