Abstract
De effectiviteit van interventies zoals de stopbrief en geleidelijke dosisafbouw is bewezen om chronisch gebruik van benzodiazepines af te bouwen, maar structurele toepassing blijft uit. Apothekers en huisartsen kunnen samen wat doen mits zij hiervoor de tijd, middelen en beleidsmatige ondersteuning krijgen. Structurele inbedding in FTO-verband, vergoeding van afbouwconsulten, bijscholing over afbouwstrategieën en duidelijke richtlijnen zijn essentieel.
