Abstract

(Figure Presented) In the loop: A novel concept for the selective inhibition of glycosidases has been developed whereby a glycosidase inhibitor is released by glycosidase-mediated hydrolysis of a prodrug, which subsequently inhibits the glycosidase that initiated the release of the inhibitor.
