Abstract
Het thema van krankzinnigheid is prominent aanwezig in Rumi’s poëzie. Maar waarom verheerlijkt Rumi krankzinnigheid? Waarom keurt hij ra- tionaliteit af? Aan de hand van een aantal gedichten van Rumi analyseert Bahmany de mogelijkheden die de thematiek van krankzinnigheid Rumi biedt.
