Het Ranavirus kan voorkomen bij amfi bieën, reptielen en vissen en kan grote sterfte veroorzaken. Het Dutch Wildlife Health Centre (DWHC) heeft het ranavirus nu
vastgesteld op 2 locaties in Drenthe, op 2 locaties in Overijssel en op één
locatie in Noord-Holland. Het is de eerste keer dat het virus in NoordHolland is aangetoond.
