Abstract
Innovation and entrepreneurship are paramount for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs). However, a major challenge for the African continent is that innovation and entrepreneurship often happens in the informal sector. In this research project we develop a first-of-kind survey of informal innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa, map its ecosystem, and identify policy implications.
