Research output: ThesisDoctoral thesis 1 (Research UU / Graduation UU)

Abstract

The research presented in this thesis aims to gain better insight into allergic diseases in children using epidemiological approaches and different angles (severity, medication use and risk factors). The aim of this thesis was to answer the following questions: Do children with multiple atopic conditions suffer from more severe symptoms? Which factors influence prescribing medication in children with allergic diseases? And can genetic variations predict the risk of developing allergic
diseases in childhood?
