Abstract
This chapter explores the combination of territorial and identity differences, wide sub-state constitutionalism, and the interplay between federalizing and centralizing forces to question the prospects for secession in B&H. Firstly, the chapter analyzes the link between territory and identity. Secondly, it explores the role of wide sub-state constitutionalism in fragmenting dynamics. Finally, it tackles the balance between federalizing and centralizing forces.
