Minimizing the number of tardy jobs

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

In this chapter we consider a problem faced by many students: after having had a great time during the semester spent on other activities, examination time has (suddenly) come close, and hence there is not enough time for thoroughly preparing all of the exams. Since a time-machine has not been invented yet, there is no alternative but to concentrate on a number of courses, such that as many as possible of the exams are passed. The problem is of course: which ones?.
