    Abstract

This book gives an overview of the possibilities that Dutch Civil law (and International Treaties to which the Netherlands is a party, and relevant European Law) offers civilians, public interest organizations and governments to act against (the threat of) environmental degradation and to seek compensation for the costs of cleanup and other damage if such degradation takes place.
