Student-Facing Learning Analytics (SFLA) aims to provide students with new insights by directly involving them in their own learning process through dashboards and other tools. This magazine offers practical stories, describes the most common applications, and discusses both the benefits and challenges of SFLA. It shares success stories from the literature and current insights from interviews with researchers and educational professionals. The magazine concludes with a look at the future of SFLA and the potential integration of generative AI like ChatGPT, which could help improve student learning processes.
