Abstract

Article 1.4 (2) Aanbestedingswet 2012 (Dutch Public Procurement Act 2012) obligates Dutch contracting authorities to ‘achieve as much societal value as possible for their public resources’. In this article W. A. Janssen and G. Bouwman discusses the roots and implications of this provision.
