Abstract

This chapter presents the results of the geological and palaeogeographical research in the Yangtze Harbour in Rotterdam. The geological studies of the prospective phase were crucial input for the descisions leading to the archaeological excavation in Target zone West. In this final report they also provide the geographical context for Mesolithic habitation in a landscape situated between the estuary and the hinterland.
