    Abstract

As an autonomous discipline that has been practiced for the past thirty years,
phraseodidactics brings together research on the teaching and learning of multi-word expressions. As a meeting point of phraseologists, didacticians and translators, research in phraseodidactics has focused mainly on the teaching of foreign languages. This contribution proposes a broadening of the didactic perspective on two levels: 1) at the level of the units considered, by regarding fixedness as a fundamental principle underlying any language activity, 2) at the level of the scope of application of phraseodidactics, taking into consideration the teaching of French as a first language. Through the use of modern tools and methods (data-driven learning, collaborative lexicography, task-based pedagogy), we will lay the foundations for a didactic approach to fixedness in the teaching of French as a first language.
