Abstract

With natural abundance of ¹⁵N in the sample, scalar ⁶Li, ¹⁵N spin- spin couplings across coordinative Li-N bonds were detected for the tetrameric organolithium compound 1 in solution and in the solid state. The coupling constants of 3.6 and 4.2 Hz correlate with the Li-N distances determined in the crystal structure analysis.
