Abstract

Manyinfectiousdiseaseslackcheap, fast,andreliableserodiagnostictools. Recently, glycanscoupledtogoldnanoparticles(GNPs)haveshownpotentialtofillthisvoidby utilizingthemasacoatinginELISAexperiments. Inthisstudy,weusedGNPsfunctionalizedeitherwithgalactofuranose(Galf), rhamnose(Rhap)oramixtureof these monosaccharidestodetectthepresenceofIgMandIgGantibodiesagainstthesenonhumancarbohydratesinseraobtainedfromtuberculosispatientsandcontrolgroups.
