Abstract
Bifunctional molecules containing both a biotin and a substrate unit have been designed and synthesized for phage display screening of mutant libraries of haloalkane enzymes. The molecules were assembled using a convergent modular synthetic strategy. One molecule was synthesized to evaluate the concept of covalent capture and a second for screening of phage libraries for enantioselectivity.
