Abstract
A reading of a number of scenes and characters from Dubliners that, while ostensibly emphasizing the huis clos of Dubliners, in fact, in terms of a partly definitely good-humoured ‘activist’ agenda, can be read as calls to his compatriots and fellow citizens, to get up, stand up, and shake off their stupor.
