Abstract
This is a historical novel about the most famous and at the same time most controversial Stradivari violin from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. It's age and therefor authenticity is subject to discussion for some ages now. In this novel the authors unravel the ways in which violin-makers, -sellers and -collectionneurs are creating false instruments a.o. by using old wood.
