Philosopher and religion scholar Daan F. Oostveen discusses the metaphor of the dream using two Chinese writers: Shi Tiesheng and Zhuang Zi, an important voice within Daoism. In Tiesheng's "Dreamscape," Oostveen explores the boundary between dreaming and being awake through literary analysis.
