Conceptualising the interrelation between data protection regulation and competition law

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterAcademicpeer-review

Abstract

This chapter sheds light on the interrelation between data protection regulation and competition law in the digital market, by developing a framework that classifies the different dimensions of their relationship. The identification of the diverse ways in which the regimes relate to one another, when it comes to issues around data and market power, is designed to lay the foundation for future research on how to optimise this interrelation from a substantive and enforcement point of view.
