Abstract
This chapter offers concluding remarks based on all 32 chapters of the edited volume. It shows a remarkable progress on the study of enforcement of EU laws from conceptual, institutional and sectoral perspectives. Furthermore, it argues for the necessity of research and policy attention to the issue, especially for establishing an EU enforcement strategy and theory. This is because enforcement of EU law has evolved in various ways in different policy areas, yet the absence of an overarching design and strategy hampers the success of enforcement. The chapter invites future research of different methodologies, also with a view of advancing conceptual knowledge and reliable statistics and data collection.
