Abstract
This report was written to finalize the research project 'Cao's en sociale zekerheid in vergelijkend perspectief' for the Gak Institute. The report provides a thorough overview of our findings on the interplay between welfare state and industrial relations domains in collective social risk protection. Two policy fields were investigated: unemployment and parental leave. These fields were studied across three countries: Sweden, Germany and Australia. We discuss the implications of our findings within the context of the Dutch welfare state.
