N2 - Commenting on the results of their meta-analysis, Holmes et al. suggest that CYP2C19 genotype does not affect clinical outcome in patients receiving clopidogrel therapy. However, we do not believe that the data support this conclusion; an association between genotype and outcome remains plausible and could be considered when choosing treatment.
