Abstract
This report contains a framework to assess the usefulness of the very common practice by companies, governmental and non-governmental organisations and other institutions to collect, use and disseminate information on people’s sex. The collection, use and dissemination of information on individuals’ sex is referred to in the report as ‘sex registration’. The purpose of the framework is to support companies and other organisations in efforts to reduce the frequency of sex registration.
