A Caturid (Actinopterygii, Halecomorphi) from the Lower Jurassic (Upper Pliensbachian) of Bavaria

Abstract

The find of a skull of Caturus sp. is reported trom Upper Pliensbachian outcrops near Sulzkirche (Oberpfalz), Bavaria. The three-dimensionally preserved skull is the oldest record of Caturus known from Germany.
