Calibrating Inclusive Sporting Encounters, Project nr. 50-54600-98-218

The ZonMw research programme 'Sport en Bewegen' has awarded a grant of 750,000 euros to the research project Calibrating Inclusive Sporting Encounters. Under the leadership of Dr. Maikel Waardenburg, a consortium consisting of universities, universities of applied sciences and societal partners will conduct research into the crucial role that organizational networks and first-line professionals, such as community sports coaches and social workers, play in guiding people in vulnerable positions to sporting encounters. The research will be carried out through two Living Labs and will apply design thinking.
