Video: Using machine learning to help you conduct systematic reviews and meta-analysis: ASReview

Press/Media: Other

Description

To help researchers conduct a systematic review or meta-analysis as efficiently and transparently as possible, we designed a tool to accelerate the step of screening titles and abstracts. In this episode - hosted by Rens van de Schoot with co-host Lars Tummers - we explain how active learning for screening prioritization works. There are software demonstrations of the tool we developed - ASReview, starring Laura Hofstee and Sofie van den Brand. We have a debate about the role of AI in systematic reviewing with information specialists Jan de Boer and Felix Weijdema. Active learning was explained by machine learning expert Daniel Oberski, NLP-expert Ayoub Bagheri, and our lead engineer Jonathan de Bruin.
