This is one of two articles Balkan Insight is running to announce the Stanisic and Simatovic judgment in The Hague (on 30 June 2021). These are two former Serbian state security officials who are being tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. I was asked to comment as an expert on paramilitaries who followed the trial closely.
