Description
Taking into account the extensive literature on migration history and labour integration, the research project aims to determine how migrants’ both home and host society contexts interplay and influence the economic integration of African migrant women in the Netherlands. It is expected that migrants’ characteristics (education, religion, social networks) and institutional contexts in both the country of origin and of destination (labour market conditions, political context) will influence the economic participation and position of migrant women.
