My presentation focused on the role of third States and their interests in contentious cases before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), discussing the Monetary Gold principle as well as other methods used by the Court to protect third States interests.

On Friday 9 March, the Utrecht Centre for International Legal Studies hosted a visit of three scholars in international law who share insights into the practical working and jurisprudential development of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The discussion will be chaired and moderated by Ms Lan Nguyen, Assistant Professor of Public International Law in Utrecht University.
