Structural inequality and the complexity of power

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventWorkshop, seminar, courseAcademic

Description

In the attempt to understand the complexity of inequality, concepts such as ‘Intersectionality’, ‘decolonisation’, ‘diversity’, ‘inclusion’, and ‘stereotyping’ have been elaborated. Why does law and institutions, despite their apparent embrace of these concepts, resist transformation? This workshop engages with critical (legal) theory to understand how power structures permeate the existing structures and also our attempts to change these very structures.
