Roundtable on Opportunities and Impediments to Civil Society – Criminal Tribunal Engagement

    Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkProfessional

    Description

This was a closed round table (i.e. no public attendance) for about 30 experts, speaking on the ways in which international judicial mechanisms can and should engage with civil society in relevant (conflict and post-conflict) countries. The participants were staff from various courts and tribunals and NGOs, especially those NGOs working on Syria. My presentation concerned the work of the tribunals in The Hague and in particular the ICTY.
