Public engagement activity: "Advisory Board “Health for Everyone”

Activity: Other

Description

Although health inequalities are a major public health concern, to date health promotion efforts have not been successful in reducing them. One reason could be that lay experiential knowledge has been used too little. We therefore engage the public in our health promotion research activities in an advisory board.

In this advisory board, 8 citizens in vulnerable positions take place to have monthly meetings with researchers, to initiate a mutual learning process and develop research questions, methods and knowledge products that match the lived realities of people in vulnerable positions.
