Description
In four years, the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Lawmaking will reach its tenth anniversary. We will be discussing the results thus far and what we may expect not only in terms of effective legislation but also in terms of public trust. How has Better Lawmaking indeed contributed to a better quality of EU legislation? Has it succeeded in involving citizens? What are the efforts we should focus on in the remaining years? We would like to take the opportunity to invite you to the symposium “On the Way to Ten Years Better Lawmaking”.
Our symposium brings EU and national, as well as academic and practice-oriented perspectives together. The keynote speech will be delivered by prof. Helen Xanthaki (University College London), who is a renowned expert in the field. From the legislative practice, Iona Condurat (European Commission), Mariusz Maciejewski, (European Parliament) and Ronald van den Tweel external link (Dutch Council of State) will share their experiences.
