Description

online paper presentation, in the monthly UU seminar 'Transmission in Motion' on the topic of 'Knowledge transmission with the lantern'. My paper evaluates experimental research of the effects of visual teaching aids (notably still and moving photographic images) in schools in the early 20th century, largely based on reports published in Frank Freeman (ed.), Visual education (1924). Panel presentation in cooperation with my colleagues Frank Kessler and Jamilla Notebaard
