On the eve of International Human Rights Day we bring together scholars, practitioners, and the public to reflect on the enduring principles of dignity and equality in the realm of criminal justice. From the global to the local, our speakers shared their stories of seeking justice through law, advocacy, and art. Set against the backdrop of mounting challenges – from the erosion of international norms to the rise of populism — these stories remind us that the struggle for rights remains as relevant today as it was when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted almost 80 years ago.
