Interfering in life before conception: how can law do justice to the future child in the regulation of reproduction?

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkProfessional

Description

As the result of societal developments and advances in reproductive technologies,
regulating reproduction has gained increasing attention. Not only are lawyers and
governments confronted with the question how to regulate emerging technologies that, for example, allows us to select and modify a child’s genetic traits. New types of litigation over donor contraception and artificial insemination, as well as political discussions about the possibility of compulsory contraception, also require further reflection on the question of what we owe the future child.
