Description

Foreign subsidies granted by non-EU third countries have the potential to distort the internal market and undermine the level playing field for economic activities in the European Union. However, no suitable regulatory framework existed to mitigate their negative effects. On 14 December 2022, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) was adopted to fill this regulatory gap. On 20 February 2023, the online seminar (see link below) addressed pressing legal questions around the FSR, which will also be discussed in a blog symposium on the RENFORCE website in 2023.
